HEY LOOK!
IS BEING SOLD
TO A DEVELOPER
A Spiritual Centre
A Sanctuary for Wildlife
Not for much longer
The Tekels Park Guest House is still taking bookings for spiritual weekends
at this 50 acre woodland estate near Camberley, Surrey, England. Many may still
arrive for a Tekels Park “spiritual” holiday unaware of the cloud hanging over the
park and the wildlife. Amazingly the Tekels Park website still advertises the
park as a sanctuary for wildlife.
The estate is owned by the Theosophical Society (Adyar) in England and has
been a Spritual Centre since 1929. The sale to a developer is surrounded by
secrecy with even many of the Society’s 200 members being kept in the dark.
News is now leaking out and many are outraged. When one considers the
horrendous effects that the sale of Tekels Park will have on the wildlife, it
is easy to see why the sale is being kept quiet.
Some Views of

Tekels Park has no
statutory protection against this happening.

The law gives more protection to badgers than it does to deer. It is
illegal to harm a badger, destroy or obstruct the entrance to badger setts or
to keep one as a pet. Protection against the effects of development is less
clear and badgers depend on a wide foraging area which could be reduced or
destroyed by development.

April 2010
Most people need a moment or two away
from the general activity of the everyday life whether professionally or a busy
home life with all its pressures and demands. This weekend is an opportunity to
take a break and relax, reassess or prepare for up and coming talks or
presentations. The weekend is also for those who wish to spend time in
meditation and contemplation on their lives, their future and fulfillment.
The surroundings of course form the basis of the spiritual experience
being sold here. One can only speculate on the effect on this experience of the
realization that Tekels Park could soon
be going under the bulldozer with the inevitable disastrous effect on the
wildlife.
It would also be upsetting to find out about the sale after the
spiritual event.

From the Website Owner:- Dave Marsland
I am dedicated to the
future of the Tekels Park animals and have created this website in support of
saving them.
My main concern in
posting information on this, and related websites, is to draw attention to the
sale of the 50 acre sanctuary for wildlife to a property developer and the
inevitable deaths of the animals by slaughter or habitat destruction.
The killing of the
Tekels Park animals would be an obscenity and as a long standing student of
Theosophy, I cannot turn a blind eye.
I maintain that the
Tekels Park management and the Theosophical Society in England leadership have
attempted to keep the fate of the Park and its wildlife from public attention
and the attention of the Theosophical Society in England members.
